First Production Citaro Euro VI Units Get Delivered

Mercedes do Brazil Reaches Its Milestone of 400,000 Buses Sold

Mercedes-Benz do Brasil has publicized that it has achieved a record of selling 400,000 buses in their country since the company started manufacturing in its Sao Bernardo do Campo plant in 1956. For many years, the company has been the leader with regards to internal sales, last September 2010, the company recorded a 53% market share. New plant in India to make high-end city buses

Ever been to India? It’s a beautiful country with a beautiful mixture of British and Indian cultures. And now, with Mercedes-Benz entering the foray, it’s even more astounding. Mercedes-Benz India recently started constructing a new facility to house body manufacturing of its city buses. Citaro hybrid buses prove their worth in Stuttgart

Three Mercedes-Benz Citaro G BlueTec Hybrid buses, with two more on their way at a later date, have been commissioned by Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen AG (SSB) after successfully passing practical service trials as far back as December of last year. The Citaro earned a lot of good remarks from passengers that happened to stumble upon the three hybrids being tested for one whole week. CNG buses a hit in Los Angeles, California

Around 130 compressed natural gas (CNG) school buses were ordered from Thomas Built Buses—Daimler Truck North America’s school bus manufacturer—alone. Daimler Buses sets up shop in Uzbekistan, partners with local company Uzavtosanoat

Daimler AG is having a very good year. The Mercedes-Benz parent company is doing so well with premium cars that it has enough resources left to devote to its bus lines. Its biggest market right now for buses is Uzbekistan, which since 1994 has been on the receiving end of their bus exports.
