Daimler, Bosch, Car2go Partner for Auto-Parking Tech

Daimler is looking to roll out cars with automated parking features before the mass production of self-driving cars. According to the media site of Mercedes’ parent company, it just forged a partnership with Bosch to start a pilot project about cars that will be able to park themselves simply through a command from the user’s smartphone. Mercedes AMG GT Engine Specs Finally Confirmed

Finally, the specifications of the Mercedes AMG GT engine has been officially confirmed. According to Christian Enderle, the person in charge of the car’s engine development, the upcoming sports vehicle will carry a biturbo four-valve-per-cylinder 4.0-liter V8 petrol engine. A band of revs within 1750 and 4750 rpm in its initial state of tune will enable the car to reach an output 375 kW at 6250 rpm with 650 Nm of torque. The engine, codenamed M178, uses the all-new 90-degree quad-cam injection system. Daimler, Bosch Form EM-motive GmbH for Joint Electric Motor Production

German automotive manufacturer Daimler has joined forces with supplier of innovative automobile components, Robert Bosch GmbH, in a joint venture called EM-motive GmbH. This joint venture will be responsible for the development as well as the production of electric motors to be used in European all-electric vehicles. The companies have already confirmed that the agreement has been officially signed after working on negotiations for three months. Production is said to be scheduled for 2012, and the venture will be based in Hildesheim, where the production facilities will also be located. Daimler and Bosch to build electric motors under partnership

Daimler AG recently announced its move towards partnering with another German company, Robert Bosch GmbH, for a joint project in designing electric motors for the car manufacturer’s planned line of all-electric vehicles. Both companies have signed respective letters of intent for a joint partnership and are now in the midst of discussions aiming to create 50:50 sharing of all products and services that shall result from the project. The companies are planning to start the project next year, and are aiming to incorporate the results into their fleet the same year.
