Atego crowned king of trucks at IAA

Which is the International Motor Show (IAA) Commercial Vehicle’s Truck of the Year 2011? None other than the Mercedes-Benz Atego of course. This 12-ton heap of German engineering perfection bagged the most votes for it to win the prestigious award of being crowned the big daddy of all commercial vehicles. Citaro hybrid buses prove their worth in Stuttgart

Three Mercedes-Benz Citaro G BlueTec Hybrid buses, with two more on their way at a later date, have been commissioned by Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen AG (SSB) after successfully passing practical service trials as far back as December of last year. The Citaro earned a lot of good remarks from passengers that happened to stumble upon the three hybrids being tested for one whole week. Along the inner-city 42 route, the Citaro was able to demonstrate exceptional fuel economy, despite the infamous routes tricky topographic layout. Fast Forward to Tomorrow campaign kicks off

Mercedes-Benz launches yet another company, this time focusing on the company’s achievements in its bid for zero emissions. Running under the slogan “Fast forward to tomorrow”, the company seeks to show through all media channels—TV, online specials and ads—how far they’ve come in achieving their goals. BlueEFFICIENCY, which later developed into various versions such as BlueTEC for diesel engines and BlueDIRECT for petrol engines, is just one of the company’s groundbreaking innovations. New Mercedes-Benz S 350 BlueTEC Out In The Market

Daimler presented to the public the details of their newest offer to the S-Klasse range, which is the Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse S 350 BlueTEC. The German company labels the model as the most economic and safest S-Klasse ever. The car is powered by a V6 diesel engine that runs at a maximum 258 hp and 620 Nm of torque, allowing it to run from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and continue going until attaining an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
