US Sale Of Mercedes-Benz ML250 BlueTec Postponed

The sale of the Mercedes-Benz ML250 BlueTec in the US market has been postponed indefinitely by the German luxury vehicle manufacturer. The SUV was originally scheduled for release in 2014. Mercedes-Benz did not give any reason for the postponement although the successful sales of the ML350 BlueTec may have something to do with it. The technical specifications of the ML250 were not officially revealed by the company. However, it was expected to use a 2.1-liter twin-turbo diesel engine that is currently used on the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK250 BlueTec. Mercedes Launches E300 BlueTEC HYBRID

In Stuttgart, Mercedes recently announced its new E300 BlueTEC HYBRID. This diesel hybrid boasts of a fuel consumption of only 4.2 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. Efficiency without compromise, such is Mercedes’ mantra for its automobiles, and the E300 BlueTEC HYBRID is no exception. In the E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID, Mercedes-Benz has combined the 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine developing 204 hp with a powerful hybrid module. Daimler Announces “Detroit” the New Component Brand in North America

The American Trucking Association started the Management Conference and Exhibition in Dallas, TX on October 15. And in that conference, Daimler Truck North America announced the “Detroit” brand. The Detroit brand, from now on, will be inherent in all powertrain- related truck components. The new diesel engines are complying with the EPA 2010 emissions standard in the US. These engines are DD13, DD15 and DD16 and will have performance from 350 to 600HP. Bild am Sonntag, Germany’s top-selling Sunday newspaper, has awarded Mercedes-Benz the “Green Steering Wheel”. This was the second year in which Bild am Sonntag awarded the Green Steering Wheel. Bild am Sonntag invited its readers to vote – by Internet, SMS or mail – for the best eco-friendly automotive innovation.
