Although no concrete details have emerged as yet, Mercedes-Benz Black Series fans are pretty assured of the upcoming appearance of a Black Series SLS. It’s all but logical that Mercedes and AMG’s highest performing car would get a hardcore iteration. And we’ve seen evidence of this upcoming hellion with the SLS prototype that burned down at the Ring. With any high performance variant, the primary question that’s always asked is, how much does it make? In the Black Series SLS’ case, the answer is 630 horsepower, according to insiders. This is an outstanding figure, considering that the hand-built type M159 found in the “run-of-the-mill” SLS already belts out 590 horsepower…. Continue Reading »

At the Nurburgring, an SLS Black Series prototype that was testing burned down almost completely. But this is the reason Mercedes-Benz tests, and retests, its vehicles. To remove the possibility of any catastrophe befalling any would-be owners. As the top-performing model in Mercedes’ array of cars, the SLS is already an extreme performance car. In case you haven’t noticed, it has become a perennial frontrunner in GT3 races. With that kind of pedigree, a Black Series SLS for the road is but a natural progression. Since all Black Series models are hardcore versions of Mercedes cars, no one knows as yet which component of this extreme SLS was responsible for… Continue Reading »
Not many years ago, mentioning the Nurburgring would, ordinarily, produce associations of Porsches, M3s, even Nissan Skylines, redlining their engines at the Green Hell. Now, having a good lap time at the Ring is practically a prerequisite for a car with sporting pretensions, and fastest laps times are a hotly contested issue – remember Porsche and Nissan duking it out regarding the R-35’s times? But Mercedes is not a company to play that game. Having been privileged to ride shotgun in a Mercedes-Benz quite recently, I was awed by the extreme comfort I felt despite my driver gunning it in first gear. The auto shifted into second gear so seamlessly that only veteran manual drivers would be able to tell that an upshift actually occurred. I’m definitely a fan of German engineering, especially with the brand. However, most Mercedes-Benz drivers only get to see the light side of the tri-pointed star. For the adventurous few, there is the dark side which can only be uncovered by pushing the envelope. And the C63 AMG Black Series makes pushing the envelope so much easier. The video… Continue Reading »
The Mercedes SL is one of the most famous Mercedes vehicle. Despite of some claims that this car is nothing but a ‘petrol- eater’, it still became a benchmark for beauty and power. This video will take you to see the new Mercedes SL, the SL65 AMG Black Series, which ironically is in red. The color though, increases the beauty and appeal of this car, don’t you think?
For men out there who wants more “muscle” in their car, the Mercedes SLS Black Series may be what you are looking for. With its looks and power, it is no doubt meant for men. At 660HP, according to rumors, the SLS will be ultra-fast. And with V12 Biturbo engine that might be installed on it, then it will be double the fun and speed. It is said to be the fastest Mercedes ever made, with or without the V12. The car is expected to have a tag price of $500,000 though, so it might not be for everyone. Source: AutoEvolution
