Face-lifted Mercedes-Benz B-Class Makes An Appearance In Paris

The face-lifted 2015 Mercedes-Benz B-Class made an appearance at the Paris Motor Show, according to a recent report from worldcarfans.com. The appearance comes at the heels of its online launch last month by the luxury vehicle manufacturer. The compact MPV basically maintained many of the design aspects with a few exceptions including an update front grille along with the integration of DRLs into the headlight cluster. Although the B-Class can feature LED High Performance headlamps, they lack compatibility with the Electric Drive model of the luxury vehicle. Orders for the vehicle start at £22,575.  Among the notable upgrades in the multi-purpose vehicle are its front fascia, lighting, technology, and it was made more efficient than ever. Mercedes B-Class Orders Start on September 12

A source stated that the facelifted Mercedes B-Class (W246) is set to hit the showrooms of dealerships in Europe before the year ends. According to MB Passion, the enhanced B-Class will be out for sale by November 2014. Orders for the vehicle can already be placed starting September 12 though. That’s before it even debuts in October at the Mondial de l’Automobile 2014 in Paris. As earlier reported, there are no major changes in the overall design and wheelbase of the Mercedes B-Class. Mercedes-Benz India Launches B-Class Diesel

Mercedes-Benz has just launched the diesel variant of the B-Class hatchback in India, in a bid to further bolster its compact-car range in an important market. With some 500 units of the petrol variant sold in the nine months since it was launched, the German automaker is expecting the diesel B-Class to perform better as far as sales figures go. In addition, this new version will help the company reach its expected double-digit growth for the year. Mercedes Eschews R1234yf Refrigerant In Favor Of R134a

Although even GM has come to the defense of Dupont in declaring the refrigerant R1234yf safe for use in passenger vehicles, Mercedes continues to stand by its contention that R1234yf can be flammable in certain real-world conditions. Late last year, Mercedes-Benz published the results of its tests, where a head-on collision ruptured the AC lines of the test vehicle, spewing the contents on the hot engine. This combination caused a fire which obviously left the German manufacturer uncomfortable and concerned.
