Daimler Cites Top 2010 Suppliers

We’ve all heard how good a year Daimler had in 2010, and it was all thanks to an overall effort from all fronts of the business. Recently, Daimler went out of its way to thank those suppliers that have allowed the company to have such a huge success in the sales department. Daimler gave 13 companies its Daimler Supplier Award 2010, along with another special award for innovation. All of the award’s receivers were involved in a variety of the company’s businesses, including buses, cars, trucks and vans. Mercedes-Benz Rides Chinese and US Demand, Gets 15.3-Percent Sales Growth

According to an official statement from Stuttgart, Mercedes-Benz has reportedly managed a year-on-year worldwide sales growth of 15.3 percent. This figure is due largely to the demand from the Chinese market as well as in the United States. Over the past year, Mercedes-Benz totaled 1.16 million vehicles sold, which subsequently allowed Daimler AG, Mercedes-Benz’s parent company, to exceed its projections that involved a 10-percent growth across the board from Merc to Maybach, the uber-luxury vehicle brand, to Smart, with its compact urban cars.
