Mercedes-Benz E220d Shows Excellent Acceleration Test Results

An independent test demonstrated the excellent performance of a Mercedes-Benz E220d, as shown on a report from The 2.0-liter engine of the 220d offers a power output of 191 HP, which is around 24 HP higher compared to the E220 CDI. It also offers a torque of 295 lb-ft, which is the same as the E220CDI. The test also showed that the E220D is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h within 7.2 seconds. The Multibeam LED headlamps come as an optional add-on in the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Announced officially by Mercedes in 2013 and offered for the first time in the current S-Class model of that period, the feature promised that it would offer flexibility in terms of illumination wherein it would adjust itself depending on a particular situation on the road. It is composed of a group of LED lighting diodes with each part acting individually to enhance targeting and light distribution. There is an ongoing fear that the rapid advancement of technology will lead to robots taking over many of the manual jobs originally intended for humans. However, at Mercedes-Benz, there is a different trend. Instead of adding more robots, the automaker is focusing on adding more humans in its assembly plants and phasing out some of its robots.
