Pagani First Impressions Video

The well-heeled among us who don’t bother with little things like money will appreciate this new video of the Pagani Huayra, which is powered by an AMG-Mercedes twin turbo V12. Displacing 6 liters and giving an output of 700 horsepower, the Huayra’s engine has been further refined for 2012 by Mercedes to minimize turbo lag.

As you will see from GT Spirit’s video, the Pagani doesn’t give away any luxury to achieve its stratospheric levels of performance, as extensive use of carbon fiber has kept the weight of this supercar down. No expense has been spared in building this supercar, and Pagani even specifies lightweight and super-expensive bolts to put this car together. For the rest of use who cannot even hope to ride in this supercar, let us just content ourselves with this video of the how the Huayra performs from the inside and out.

Video: Pagani Huayra fly-bys at Adria International

There’s something unnerving about the Pagani Huayra. Despite its toned down exterior design, the rumble from its exhaust says that it’s more than just another Pagani supercar. This footage shows you Mr. Horacio Pagani himself taking a peek at the engine and giving a little detail on the suspension system.

Check out the video guys, and make sure you’re wearing quality earphones to appreciate the sound of that AMG engine. The fly-bys on Italy’s Adria International Raceway may be a little tame to look at, but that’s probably because the test driver does not want to take any chances at wrecking the car.

We’re sure if he had it his way, he’ll be testing those tires along those corners to see how well the Huayra pulls out with AMG’s creation under its rear. Or maybe the driver is just overwhelmed by the Huayra and the fact that Mr. Pagani himself is hanging around.

Whatever. Enjoy the footage folks. This is the closest you’ll probably get to seeing the Huayra in action. But if you are blessed enough to be able to afford one, kindly be generous enough to send some personal footage down our way, and we’ll make sure to post it here on Insider to share with everyone.

It’s no mystery that Pagani not only belongs to its namesake which is based in Modena. It also exists under Mercedes-Benz’s AMG brand. AMG controls a big chunk of the development and manufacturing of Pagani engines while the guys in Modena are in charge of pretty much everything else.

Now, in the case of the all-new Pagani Huayra, you might be trigger-happy into letting your opinions shoot out about its disappointing aesthetics. Although those who have seen the Huayra up close may beg to differ as to its visual appeal. Still, there simply is no question as to the quality of the engine that drives the Huayra. As with anything that leaves AMG’s plant in Affalterbach, nothing comes close to German engineering at its finest. And that is what this video of the Huayra is all about.

Of course, you don’t have to take our word for it. You simply have to amp up the volume and put on those high-quality earphones for full effect. The generous boys at Marchettino have sent out our friends at Autoblog their latest clip of Italy’s finest punching the throttle. This footage comes straight from the Adria International Raceway, one of eight circuits in Italy that are certified by FIA. The great thing about this clip is that the camera was attached right next to the engine at the rear, so you’ll hear the AMG engine at full blast. Check it out guys.

Pagani Huayra Spotted At Italian Country Fair

The Pagani Huayra made a big splash at the Geneva Auto Show and enthusiasts everywhere are hungry for more pictures and videos of this supercar. Pagani does not limit its presentations of the Huayra to the major auto shows, however, and this set of videos is a case in point. Recently, it was seen at a small Italian country fair, where the predictable crowd gathered to admire this supercar. The rest of us are lucky that an intrepid enthusiast at the Motori et Sapori event took shots of the car for us to appreciate.

Reportedly, this matte silver beauty is just a test mule and designated the PT4, for prototype 4. This mule will be the test bed for future special edition versions, as well as for refinements to the final production version. It’s good that Pagani has chosen to exhibit this car not only to well-heeled buyers, but also to country folk, who may not able to afford the car, but still appreciate art, in whatever form it takes.

[Video] Pagani Huayra in Breathtaking Action, Legend Explained, Front Air Brakes Revealed

There’s this new promotional video of the Pagani Huayra supercar, and it opens by explaining why the 700-horsepower wonder is named the way it is. Of course, given the sheer power of the car, few vehicles can lay claim to being the very embodiment of the wind.

Watch the video to see the Huayra show off its curves as it traverses mountainside roads and seaside highways, in what is easily among the most breathtaking vehicle footage we’ve seen after some time. That’s thanks to a high level of attention to detail plus some nice cinematography put into the production of the video. The visuals are also accompanied by a nice tribal soundtrack that really helps set the mood.

Not everything in the video revolved around the myth and legend behind the Huayra name, however. In what was a surprising revelation to many, the video showed the world the supercar’s nose-mounted air brakes. You’ll see them being deployed at the 1:56 mark of the video.

Fish-mouth front end aside, the Huayra is already gaining much popularity among enthusiasts, thanks to its sleek design and tremendous performance. It is powered by an AMG-sourced twin turbo V12, the beating heart of this “God of Wind.”
