Still not expected until sometime before summer 2009, the new Mercedes CLK is already in testing. It was caught in Gernamy and in Sweden. According to WorldCarFans, it should have three different engine choices: a V6 with 272hp, a V8 with 388hp and an AMG version with 503hp. This is a pretty cool video showing two guys with their Mercedes E320 CDI following and trying to keep up with the Mercedes CLK DTM AMG Forumula 1 Safety Car. Not sure what the Safety Car was doing on the A50 freeway from Eerde to Nistelrode in Netherlands. It is just amazing how powerful and fast this thing is; at one point they were doing over 240km/h. What the CLK does to them at the end is just priceless.
The guys over at Inside Line have gotten the chance to test and review the new Mercedes Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series that just recently came to the States. While the red color is okay, I would have liked it much better in pure black or even silver. The video is a must see, not because it is the first video of the CLK63 AMG BS in the US, but also because it is pure insanity what the car is doing on the road. We just got the CLK Black Series from Mercedes, and now we are getting another CLK version, this time it is the Sports Edition. While it doesn’t look like the AMG Black Series with it wide fenders and “evil” looking body kit, we do get some nice things with the SE, such as 18-inch light-alloy wheels with an exclusive design, bi-xenon headlamps, AMG styling. The interior includes AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel, aluminium-look sports pedals and special velour floor mats. Another great thing is the 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission, which is the world’s only car transmission of this kind. After weeks of confusion and false rumors, Mercedes finally unveiled the CLK63 Black Series three weeks ago. Now, here we have a promo video, showing the car in all its beauty. Seeing pictures is fina, but a video is just so much better and more fun, so please take a moment and watch the video.
