Maybach 57S-based Xenatec Coupe Revealed

A German engineering firm has presented to the public this £586,000 Maybach 57S-based Xenatec Coupe. Seen only in several official sketches in the past, the automobile has been manufactured for those who chooses to enjoy the Maybach experience from the driver’s seat. The Xenatec coupe, created with the approval of Daimler, will be limited to only 100 hand-built vehicles. Its foundation are similar as the 57S, as is its twin-turbocharged 6.0 V12 engine, but important modifications have been done to its bodywork, design and engineering. 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS Comes Strong at Paris 2010

The VATH Mercedes E 350 CDI

The people behind VATH Automobitechnik, an exclusive Mercedes tuner in Germany, have presented their newest project, the VATH V35 E-Class, which is patterned after the Mercedes-Benz E 350 CDI model. The tuners have not only modified the power output of the engine, but they also came up with a line of aerodynamic features for the ultimate package. 2011 Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG: A Fusion of Elegance and Brawn

Changing the engine from a naturally aspirated 6.2 liter V8 to a direct injection, twin-turbo 5.5 liter V8 has not really affected the powerful image of the Mercedes CL63 AMG. Smart Fortwo Electric Drive to be Featured in 2010 Paris Auto Show

Not having succeeded in thrilling the world in recent years, Daimler’s brand smart is attempting a different approach, one which just might raise the number of sales the company is aiming for. Smart Fortwo – Car2go Edition Set into Motion

car2go and smart have currently presented a new lineup of cars, a blue and white smart fortwo that will be manufactured at the smart plant in Hambach, Lorraine, as a fully-modified “car2go edition”. The car2go edition is adapted with the latest telematics hardware, a fresh control unit with touchscreen, and a solar roof produced solely for the smart. Car2go Program Reaches 10,000 Members

The car sharing program that was started by Daimler last May 2010 has attained 10,000 registered members in its first North American city – Austin, Texas. Based on the statement of Daimler, since the launch of car2go program, over 80,000 rentals have been recorded all over the greater downtown Austin area with average usage ranging from 30 and 60 minutes per rental. The customers vary in age from college students to retirees, with around 50 percent of them aged 18 to 35.
