Mercedes-Benz Recalls 85,000 Vehicles For Power Steering Problems

Mercedes-Benz is pulling out at least 85,078 vehicles due to problems with power steering, after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHSTA) issued a safety warning to the German company. This would include models sold in the US from year 2010-2011. The repercussion of such a problem could eventually result to a loss of fluid in the steering system’s pump, which may also heighten the risk of an accident. Dealers will also check and re-torque the fittings without any charge. Spy Photo: 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML63, Without the Heavy Camouflage

Based on the past spy photos of the soon to be released Mercedes-Benz 2012 M-Class and ML63 AMG SUV, both vehicles are camouflaged in heavy plastic cladding. In the recent spy photos of the ML63 AMG frontrunner, the plastic armor has already been removed and replaced by black tape, presenting a much “naked” view of the vehicle’s design. Harman Kardon Sound System Fitted in Mercedes-Benz CLS

Harman, one of the leading producers of audio and infotainment technology has manufactured a new surround sound system for the Mercedes-Benz CLS, exclusively fitted for the interior of the four-seat coupe. The people behind the company have installed 14 high performance speakers to be able to produce a three dimensional ambient sound. Mercedes has released statement that the latest C-Class Coupe is geared to join its vehicle range when the C-Class is presented for its mid-cycle update in 2011. The latest photo at the Nurburgring in Germany shows that its testing phase is in its last stages. Mercedes Surpasses Lexus As Top U.S. Luxury Automaker

Based on the reports, Mercedes-Benz has made a significant mark in the American luxury market, surpassing both BMW and the long time sales leader, Lexus last month. The Silver Arrow has boosted its sales by 17 percent in the US, up to 19,862 vehicles sold in September.
