Spy Shots of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL Class

The all new 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL Class is underway and as of now they are testing it on the oval racetrack. This prototype 2013 SL-Class was recently spied lapping the Nurburgring and hanging out with the current-generation SL. Although the vehicles appearance is a lot different. They look like a camouflage  vehicle or Batman’s bat mobile. This new Mercedes Benz has a different look compared to the older models. Why Mercedes-Benz used the term Shooting “Break” and not “Brake”?

The term “Shooting Break” is the name for its latest concept vehicle. “Break, or the homonym Brake, was the name once given to carriages used to ‘break’ in wild horses and also to restrict (or ‘brake’) their urge to move, so that they could be put to use as work horses. Since the carts could easily be broken as part of this process, people tended not to use ones which they may have urgently needed for other purposes. Technicity – A new magazine from Daimler

Introducing “Technicity Magazine”, a new magazine for news and updates about the German manufacturer Daimler. The new technology and innovation magazine has replaced the old magazine “HighTechReport” in 2009. Technicity magazine will comprise Daimler research and development issues, such as urban mobility solutions, technology and innovation processes, as well as non-Daimler topics. The new magazine, which by the way comes with their own website, is published in both English and German languages with a scope of 100 pages. 38 Mercedes Car Models at the Beijing Motor Show

Mercedes will display 38 car models at the Beijing Auto Show later this month. Among those is the Mercedes-Benz, Maybach, Smart and AMG brand models. This includes three models of the new long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz E-Class that will make their world debut, and three models of the F800 Style Concept, the SLS AMG supercar and the new E-Class Cabriolet that will make their Asia debut this time. Mercedes Benz Hybrids are hip to Hollwood

Robert Downey Jr., Gerard Butler and Miley Cyrus. What do they have in common? Well all of them are among those who drives the 2010 S400 Hybrid luxury sedan. The Mercedes Benz S400 Hybrid is the world’s first mass produced car with a lithium ion battery. It’s the first Mercedes with a hybrid drive. And, with a price tag just below $90,000, it’s an ultra-niche vehicle. The official EPA mileage number for the Benz S400 are 19 in the city and 26 on the highway. Michael Schumacher to race on new Mercedes chassis in Spain

That’s right, Michael Schumacher will be driving a new Mercedes in the Spanish Grand Prix next month. The Brackley based team is developing a newly-developed Mercedes W01 that will be on an entirely different chassis. But for now this are all speculations since the new chassis have to undergo a new FIA crash test prior to its debut. If the team didn’t make the cut, they will have to make it available from the second European race in Monte Carlo.
