The Brabus SV12 R Roadster. The Big Red Machine or the Red Devil of the Middle East. You can call it anything you want but the bottom line still remains… this vehicle is the most powerful open air sports car in the world.

The two-seater vehicle is powered by the BRABUS SV12 R Biturbo 750 twelve-cylinder engine with 730 hp and 1100 Nm. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.0 seconds and to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 10.5 seconds combined with an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph) is impressive proof of the car’s prowess.

The features are also dynamic. The exterior the SV12 R benefits from a BRABUS design front apron with an assortment of lighting options like a set of stylish LED driving lights, auxiliary high beams for additional visibility and mist eliminating fog lamps.

Almost every piece of the SV12 R’s interior has been recovered in brilliant red fabric, making a bold statement in contrast to the car’s white body. The Big Red Machine or the Red Devil of the Middle East. It doesn’t matter. What matters is the power and features of this Super car.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. That’s what Mercedes GP Petronas had in mind and finally decided not to proceed with the appeal to Monaco. The appeal is about the Monaco stewards’ decision on penalizing Michael Schumacher.

In a media statement issued on Tuesday, the Brackley based team said it “cannot be happy with the outcome” but has decided not to appeal “in the best interests of the sport”.

“Mercedes would like to emphasize that we fully support the inclusion of past drivers on the stewards panel and are completely satisfied that the Monaco Grand Prix stewards acted professionally, impartially and properly in this matter,” the statement said.

According to the FIA rules, any team can lodged notification of its intention to appeal within an hour of the publication of the decision. The deadline is within 48 hours but the Mercedes team decided no to go with it and hope that this won’t happen again.

Car Racing like life is sometimes unfair. You win some you lose some.

NHTSA to investigate Mercedes Benz E-Class Airbags

There’s a saying when you have a car “Drive Safely”. And that’s what NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) will do exactly to Mercedes Benz E-Class. The NHTSA will investigate 2005 & 2006 Mercedes Benz E-Class models about Airbags and it’s wiring system connected to it. This is to prevent any further accident on the road. NHTSA received 4 complains about failures of the wiring harness.

Mercedes Benz spokesman Robert Moran mentioned about the flaw of the E-Class wiring harness. The harness could pull out of the connector block, causing an open-circuit condition in the driver’s airbag circuits. Thus making the harness disconnects from the connector.

They came up with a solution by making the wiring harness a little bit longer.

NHTSA was established by the Highway Safety Act of 1970 to carry out safety programs previously administered by the National Highway Safety Bureau. And of all the Mercedes Benz units, only the 2005 and 2006 E-Class models were being investigated. About 100,000 E-Class units could be recalled for investigation.

Monaco GP: Disappointing finish for Mercedes GP

123 big Monaco GP: Disappointing finish for Mercedes GP
We came, we saw, they conquered. That’s is installed in the minds of Mercedes GP Petronas drivers Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher as they finished the Monaco Grand Prix in seventh and twelfth places respectively yesterday, following an action-packed race around the Monte Carlo streets.

The Monaco Grand Prix is widely considered to be one of the most important and prestigious automobile races in the world. And it was important for Mercedes GP Petronas to make a good impression. Rosberg started from sixth and Schumacher from seventh place on the grid, hoping their position will elevate their rankings.

But Lady luck didn’t shine on them as they had their share of bad moments during the race. Rosberg has a clear track but was not in the right place and got stuck behind a slower car. Schumacher subsequently received a 20 second time penalty from the stewards after the race.

On a positive note, the crew did an excellent job on the pit stops and the team is very delighted with their performance. The team will be preparing for the next race in Turkey and hopefully can develop a performance in Istanbul in two weeks time.
