Road and Track has a great illustration and details on what is rumored to be the new SLC. Apart from being developed with help of HWA, who works with Mercedes on their DTM racing devision, the super car will have a carbon roof, gullwing doors, and a 6.2 liter AMG V-8 with a amazing 700hp. The SLC will be pretty “affordable” with a price tag of $200,000, when compared to the SLR.

C-Class will be starring in National Treasure 2

We got some more information on the bulled riddled C-Class that we showed you on Monday. A read, who lives around the are where the film is being shot, is saying that the movie will be the sequel to National Treasure. The first movie had Nicolas Cage in the main role of an adventure seeking historian. The reader also mentioned that they were shooting scenes around the London’s Bank area.

Mercedes sells 18,586 new vehicles in July

Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported sales of 18,586 new vehicles for July, bringing the company’s year- to-date total to 136,826 units, a 0.2 percent increase compared to the same period last year and marking the best year-to-date sales volume in its history.

With significant boosts in sales for both the S-Class and CL-Class (12.9 percent and 561.5 percent increases respectively), highlights for July sales include a 12 percent increase in sales of Mercedes-Benz high-end vehicles (S-, SL-, and CL-Classes) as a group. SUVs also showed growth, with the company’s highly acclaimed M-Class model line’s 23 percent increase (3,015 vs. 2,446 units) for the month.
