F1: Epic crash knocks out both Mercedes cars in lap 1 of Spanish Grand Prix

Well, that escalated quickly. Lap one of the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix saw a Mercedes on Mercedes crash, taking out the top two contenders in the season so far. This paved the way for Red Bull’s Max Verstappen to be the youngest race winner in Formula One history.  Right after the start, Hamilton was able to get ahead of Rosberg but the German managed to snag back the lead by turn 3. Mechanics Swap in Mercedes F1 is Not an Issue

Nico Rosberg is on fire. He’s been unrelenting in the first four races of the 2016 season. Some analysts claimed that his advantage may have come from swapping mechanics with the reigning Formula One Drivers’ World Champion Lewis Hamilton. However, an expert does not agree with such analysis. Dominic Harlow, a former Williams senior operations engineer, commented on the matter in an interview featured at Sky Sports F1 page earlier. Hamilton and Rosberg Argue Over Who’s Paying Chinese Dinner

The real action in the 2016 Formula One Chinese Grand Prix is yet to start. However, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg were at it again. According to numerous sources like UK’s Mirror, the latest spat between the two was over who was paying for dinner. F1: Mercedes’ Rosberg wins Bahrain Grand Prix

Nico Rosberg has now won five straight GPs, including the first two in the 2016 Formula One season. The Mercedes driver took the chequered flag comfortably, with a 10-second lead over second-placer Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari. Meanwhile, defending champion took the final podium slot 20 seconds behind the red car. As Rosberg had predicted, Hamilton was not really able to capitalize on his pole position. F1: Hamilton takes pole in Bahrain; Mercedes to start in front row as Rosberg takes P2

Lewis Hamilton had to set the fastest lap at the Bahrain International Circuit in order to leapfrog Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg for pole position at the start of the 2016 Bahrain Grand Prix this weekend, as the two Silver Arrows were only 0.077 seconds apart. That makes it two front-row starts in two tries for Mercedes this season, but main rival Ferrari is not far behind. Rosberg’s time was 1:29.570, with Sebastian Vettel not too far behind at 1:30.012 and Kimi Raikkonen at 1:30.244 to qualify in P3 and P4, respectively. Hamilton’s time was 1:29.493. Mercedes F1 Should Watch Out For Ferrari

Despite Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team locking the first and second places in the Australian Grand Prix, a huge improvement was seen in its rivals. Niki Lauda, the non-executive chairman of the group, warned during his interview with Sky Sports that the tight duel in Melbourne might be repeated in the following races.
