There has been lots of spyshots of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL now. Why not, it is very much anticipated because of the many firsts that this car will have. All aluminum body, magnesium in the rear panel and the lightest weight Mercedes model ever. GermanCarForum showed a new scoop, the scans of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL brochure. The much talked about 2013 Mercedes SL is now being tested on the road — in white. Spyshots are all over the Internet and the topic of aluminum body covering V6 or V8 engine with forced induction has been opened again. Mercedes-Benz will show everyone a newer, more lightweight SL which is made of aluminum. It is said to be weighing 140 kilograms less than its predecessor. Well, it’s about time that a new SL will be on the showrooms as the last update was released in 2008. Before the year is out, Mercedes-Benz will present a completely redeveloped SL Roadster made for the first time almost entirely from aluminium. The full aluminium bodyshell of this newly developed vehicle weighs around 110 kilograms less than a comparable bodyshell constructed with the technology used for its predecessor. 2013 Mercedes SL Interior Spyshots

The guys at AutoEvolution caught the 2013 Mercedes SL’ interior on camera. True to Mercedes-Benz “tradition” of bringing together designs and styles from their different models, the interior of the SL’s is kind of showing other Mercedes cars. Example, the gearshift selector looks like its from the SLS AMG while the dials looks so much like the new SLK. There are also new things in the car, such as the steering wheel’s square buttons.
