The Mercedes-Benz C-Class had just been officially declared as the “World Car of the Year” at the 2015 New York Auto Show. It was due to its amazing styling, technology, safety, performance, and luxurious aspects.

Despite the high regards of people with the car, there have been no signs of slacking off on the part of the vehicle’s manufacturer in the continuous development of the models in its line-up. Recently, there have been strong indications that its automaker will add a new coupe and convertible versions to the latest generation of the auto.

Currently, the model already has its sedan and estate versions. Yesterday, fresh spy photos and reports revealed that the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe was nearing its launch.

New spy shots of the C-Class coupe showed that it just underwent its winter testing. The pictures in the gallery that you can find above were taken by Carscoops. According to the source, the images originated in Northern Sweden. The report added that the prototype was likely equipped with the brand’s 4Matic all-wheel drive system.

Like the preceding coupes of the three-pointed star, the C-Class coupe will possibly carry out the engine options offered in its sedan variant. It will probably have the usual petrol and diesel-powered  engine configurations. In addition, the performance models of the new coupe might be based from the specs of the C63 AMG and the C63 AMG S. However, it was not clear yet whether there will also be a Plug-In hybrid type of the car.

The article claimed the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year.
