[2013 DTM] Mercedes-Benz Gets Ready for Season Opener

The first weekend in May will see tons of racing action as the 2013 season of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters gets underway at Hockenheim. The Mercedes-Benz team for 2013 will feature one veteran and a bunch of young drivers ready to make their mark. Last year’s runner-up Gary Paffett will be joined by junior team members Roberto Merhi, Christian Vietoris, and Robert Wickens at Mercedes-Benz HWA Team, while Mucke Motorsport will be fielding Daniel Juncadella and Pascal Wehrlein. Kubica Test-Drives DTM Mercedes-Benz AMG C-Coupé

It’s been a while for former F1 driver Robert Kubica, but his latest step brings him closer to a motorsport comeback. A couple of days back, Kubica — who was severely injured in February 2011 at the Ronde di Andora rally — tested a DTM Mercedes AMG C-Coupé. His run at the Circuit Ricardo Torno in Valencia, Spain is his first proper test-condition outing on a race track since being a part of Renault in Formula One back in early 2011. “I’m really pleased that Mercedes-Benz is giving me the opportunity to test their DTM car and I’m looking forward to getting acclimatised to a race car again,” said Kubica prior to the… Continue Reading »

Mercedes All Set for Climactic Battle at 2012 DTM Finale

It all comes down to one race. This weekend, the winners of the 2012 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters will finally be crowned, and fans should be treated to a tight race on Sunday. Gary Paffett is hoping to take his THOMAS SABO Mercedes AMG C-Coupe to victory, although it’s not going to be easy with BMW’s Bruno Spengler hot on his trail and fellow Mercedes driver Jamie Green also with a shot at the title.
