Daimler Joins the “Clean Diesel. Clearly Better.” Campaign

Daimler, together with BMW, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen along with auto-component company Bosch, joined the project titled “Clean Diesel. Clearly Better.” This campaign developed by German Association of Automotive Industry and their members is developed to create a multi-brand information platform that will let the US population know about the advantages of using “clean diesels” and the technology that runs it. Would you mind switching to diesel? Apparently, luxury car companies don’t mind at all, especially with the big names such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz. BMW’s new 3-Series models are now running on diesel, while Mercedes-Benz’s C250 cars now running with an 1800cc turbocharged 4-cylinder under their hoods. Mercedes-Benz to bring A and B-Class successors to U.S. in 2012

Over past few years, we’ve heard at least a half dozen stories and reports on the possibility of bring the A and B-Class to the States. We’ve even seen spy shots of the B-Class in the desert, but nothing really happened. Mercedes execs are at it again.
