Daniel Juncadella Bests Wehrlein, Rosberg in Stars & Cars

Spanish driver Daniel Juncadella won his debut race at the first Stars & Cars event of Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart, Germany. He sealed his victory in the fourth round and final leg of the race against current DTM Drivers’ Champion Pascal Wehrlein. Based on the Stars & Cars page of Mercedes, there were sixteen competitors in the event. Among them were Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg as well as Bernd Scheider, Mika Hakkinen, and David Coulthard. Both Hamilton and Rosberg made it until the semifinals. Hamilton was bested by Wehrlein with a 0.099-second gap only. The DTM champ had a time of 1:19.938. Mika Hakkinen: Mercedes Will Not Likely Come On Top

According to BBC, two-time Formula 1 Champion Mika Hakkinen stated that Mercedes-Benz will unlikely come on top this season. He said that the speed of their car is not enough to catapult them to the peak of the rankings. The 1998 and 1999 champ added that McLaren seems to be in its great form this year so they will definitely get the top position. David Coulthard does not share his former teammate’s view though. He thinks that the Mercedes-Benz has a great engine plus a lot of talented people. The SLS AMG Roadster made it to the Guinness World Record

What happens if David Coulthard, an F1 legend, rides the 571hp SLS AMG Roadster? Well, it surely is record-breaking. Mercedes-Benz UK organized an event to get a Guinness World Record of the ‘farthest golf shot to be caught in a moving car”, and they succeeded. When professional golf player Jake Shepherd made the ball fly at 178mph, it was caught by the Mercedes car rolling at 120mph. Everyone was elated and Guinness, upon seeing the video of what happened, immediately confirmed that it was indeed a feat. Golf Ball Caught on Moving SLS AMG, Mercedes-Benz Claims World Record

Here’s one Guinness world record you might not have heard about: the farthest golf ball shot caught by a man in a moving car. The feat was accomplished on an SLS AMG driven by David Coulthard, the former F1 competitor who is now driving for Mercedes-Benz’s Mucke Motorsport team in the 2012 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters championship. Pro golfer Jake Shepherd shot the golf ball through the air, clocked at a peak of 178 mph. Mercedes-Benz, as well as Audi and BMW are using new cars to the DTM this year. The three star brand is using a brand-new silver arrow that is so stunning, you would know that it is a Mercedes even from a distance of a mile. The new DTM car is an AMG Mercedes C-Class Coupe with improved tires and better looks. More than those new stuff, the extra safety it provides in all sides of the vehicle is the best improvement there is in this race car. In the video, you will see David Coulthard with the Mercedes AMG C-Class Coupe that’s going to be used in the DTM race.
