Minions Pit BMW Vs Mercedes in a Video

There is no shortage of videos pitting BMW vs Mercedes cars. While watching some of it in YouTube, I happened to stumble upon a funny and cool video regarding the subject. In addition to the Audi and Mercedes vehicles are the cute and lovable “minions” from the “Despicable Me” franchise. The yellow bi-pedaled creatures in blue overalls can be seen having a good time—or at least Bob is having a fun time ribbing Stuart as the former is obviously an Audi fan. The first part of the video shows the BMW 2 Series Coupe jumping over the center island of the highway to the delight of Bob. Then it proceeds to show a couple… Continue Reading »

Mercedes Sales in June Overtaken by BMW

BMW AG’s BMW luxury car brand just overtaken Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz as well as Toyota Motor Corp.’s Lexus in terms of sales in the United States in the month of June. The three mentioned brands are by far the best performers in the US luxury car segment. However, Mercedes sales are the highest based on a half year data. According to a report from Bloomberg, BMW sales in US fell by 10 percent last month. The brand only reflected sales amounting to 28,473 units. Despite that, it was able to bag the lead in the American market during that period. Mercedes sales rose up to 1.5 percent in the month… Continue Reading »

Mercedes vs. BMW: The Autonomous Car

In the autonomous car market, Mercedes continues to play a major role, though BMW is certainly making some recent moves. BMW’s upcoming iNext, an autonomous car, was recently given a 2021 release date, although BMW’s head of marketing and sales, Ian Robertson, suggested that the release date may be premature. The earlier-than-anticipated release date is likely a response to Mercedes’ growing authority in the young autonomous car market, with Mercedes having conducted autonomous car tests since 2012 and having released the stunning F 015 Luxury in Motion E-Class. The revolutionary 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class already provides a sneak peek at what autonomous driving may look like via its F 015 Luxury… Continue Reading »

2016 BMW 750i vs 2016 Mercedes-Benz S550

When we think about German engineering, there are two brands that come to mind—BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Historically, the two have butted heads over which is the better performer and which is more elegant. When you think about BMW, you’d want to get your hands on the M3. For the Mercedes, the S-Class tops the cake, and the S550 is said to be the most elegant coupe out there. On a head-to-head comparison, Mercedes tops BMW two out of seven times. Although known for providing advanced driving experience, the BMW has never really went over Mercedes in terms of elegance. When it comes to sophistication, Mercedes has always work the crown. But… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-Benz Museum Puts Free Admission for BMW Employees

BMW is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Mercedes-Benz, being the greatest rival of the brand is not taking a backseat during the event. The parent company of Mercedes, Daimler, recently posted a press release congratulating its biggest competitor. Whether it is a gesture of goodwill is questionable as there were plenty of hints that Daimler is trolling its rival. The press release starts by telling readers that BMW was founded on March 7, 1916. However, it came with a reminder that Carl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler already invented the automobile 30 years before, and Daimler-Benz was established 10 years after that event. Along with that is an invitation for BMW employees to the… Continue Reading »

BMW remains the world’s top luxury car brand in terms of sales in 2015. However, Mercedes-Benz garnered enough figures to propel itself to number two in the race, beating Audi. Mercedes Sales in US Beat Rival BMW

Mercedes sales in US this January display a strong momentum for the brand at the start of the year. The figures were significantly higher than those reflected by its rival BMW in the same area. As we have mentioned earlier, Mercedes posted record sales last month. According to 24/7 Wall St, the three-pointed star brand sold 26,563 units of its cars and light trucks during that period. The figures translate to an increase of 1.7% based on a year-on-year comparison. In comparison, BMW only sold 18,082 units of its vehicles in January. The Mercedes competitor’s sales went down by 4.7% compared to its recorded numbers in the same month of last… Continue Reading »
