Mercedes-Benz recently requested Lewis Hamilton to test drive the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG. A video of the test drive of the Mercedes-AMG Formula One team driver was released recently by the luxury vehicle manufacturer. The video shows Hamilton testing the turbocharged engine of the A45 AMG on both dry and wet road conditions. After taking the latest vehicle offering of Mercedes-Benz through its paces, Hamilton gave his thoughts about the car. The first batch of vehicles is expected to be delivered by August and potential owners can already start to order the vehicle in Great Britain. Before the 24-hour Nurburgring event last weekend, Mercedes-Benz put on an awesome demonstration of what their Formula One car is capable of. The demo pitted Michael Schumacher in a Mercedes-Benz F1 race car against four AMG variants of the brand in a game of “catch up”. The variants included were the A45 AMG, E63 AMG 4Matic, SLS AMG Black Series and SLS AMG GT3. On the helm of the AMG cars were Bernd Maylander, Karl Wendlinger, Nico Rosberg and Bernd Schneider, respectively. The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG Edition 1 is set to be offered by the luxury vehicle manufacturer in the next twelve months. The company will offer a similar model of the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG in the same way it offered the Mercedes-Benz CLA Edition 1. The vehicle will feature matte graphite grey stripes along the sides, the roof, and the hood over Cirrus White paint.
