The Mercedes-Benz C-Class and M-Class are joining elite company as holders of a 5-star rating for the strict US NCAP crash test program. Since refreshing its system and putting in place a stricter crash test program in 2010, there have been few vehicles to claim top marks. The US NCAP made provisions for some additional tests and tightening up some of the requirements. Public Service: Recall of the G-Class and M-Class W166’s Weather Floor Mats

Recalls were announced by Mercedes-Benz, the first one is for the all-weather floor mats of the M-Class W166. As their press release said, it is necessary to recall the mats since it comes in contact with the gas pedal and it could cause it to jam. This affects the all-weather floor mats that were produced from July 2011- July 2012, in which 8700 units were sold in the United States and 2800 were sold in Germany. The third generation of the Mercedes-Benz M-Class SUV was launched recently in India, and it comes with exciting news that the vehicle will be priced some 15 percent less compared to the last iteration seen in the country. This allows the German automaker to be competitive with the prices offered by BMW and Audi for vehicles in the same segment. This weekend, a tuned Mercedes-Benz car will star at the Tuning World Bodensee in Germany. Lorinser, a tuning company, made some visual upgrades for the Mercedes-Benz M-Class. Yokohama tires wrapped around 22-inch alloys colored in black can be bought if you don’t like the stock version. A new suspension system that lowers the SUV by 40mm will make anyone feel envious. If you don’t like it too low, then get the Airmatic suspension so you can do the lowering manually.
