A video of the Mercedes-AMG GT4 was recently released showcasing the car’s roaring sound as it was being tested on the Oulton Park track in the UK in preparation for the 2023 British GT Championship. The car’s impressive speed and agility were on full display as it effortlessly took on the curves and turns of the track.

Power

The AMG GT4 is a track-ready machine that is based on the production sports car Mercedes-AMG GT R Coupe. According to the video’s description, this particular model is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that produces approximately 540 bhp and a torque of 630 Nm. With a weight of 1390kg, it can go from 0-62 mph in just 3.6 seconds.

Transmission and Control System

The AMG GT4 comes with a six-speed sequential competition gearbox that provides smooth and precise shifts. Additionally, it is equipped with advanced motorsport electronics that include AMG traction control, competition ABS, and Race-Start Control. These features help the driver maintain maximum control of the car while also ensuring optimal performance and compliance with British GT standards.

Track Performance

The AMG GT4‘s impressive track performance can be attributed to its advanced design and engineering. Its lightweight body and powerful engine make it a formidable competitor on the track. Furthermore, the car’s sophisticated suspension system, which includes adjustable dampers, contributes to its excellent handling and cornering abilities.
