Mercedes-Benz GLB Facelift Spotted On The Road During Testing

Giancarlo Perlas February 8, 2023

The Mercedes-Benz GLB may not enjoy the same amount of fame and exposure enjoyed by its siblings, especially the GLC and GLE, but it sure does present a nice alternative for those who want a cross between a minivan or station wagon and an SUV. Since it continues to be an important range in the offerings of the three-pointed star marque—being a bridge between the GLA and GLC—a new spy video reveals that it is about to get a facelift.

The spy shot from walkoARTvideos shows the GLB sporting some camo on its nose that covers the entirety of the front grille and front bumper. The headlamps and a large part of the grille are peeking from the wraps though, which gives us an idea of what the near future holds for them. Meanwhile, the rear only displays a small strip of covering.

As with the other vehicles of Mercedes that have undergone a facelift, the concealed parts certainly suggest a redesign. With that, expect revisions in the lights, front bumper, and front grille of the GLB.

Unlike its shell, the interior is probably getting the most out of the mid-cycle refresh. We might see a new screen layout in the SUV. But what we are sure of is that it will definitely get a major update in its MBUX infotainment system that should provide better entertainment, navigation, connectivity, and controls for its users.

The facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLB might retain its current powertrains but a hybrid option may not be far behind, too. The new model will most probably come out this year with a 2024 model-year badge.
