Mercedes-Benz EQV Electric Van Prepares for a Facelift

Giancarlo Perlas July 23, 2022

New spy shots reveal that there are some updates coming up in the Mercedes-Benz EQV van. The auto was recently seen cruising on the road alongside the current EQV 300 and what looks like the upcoming facelifted EQA.

The covered areas of the EQV captured in the spy shots of Carscoops indicate where the changes in the facelifted version will focus on. Given those hints, expect the van to get an updated fascia with new air inlets on the sides of the front bumper, redesigned faux front grille, and new headlamps. The faux front grille will probably showcase the same scattered star pattern flanking the Mercedes emblem similar to what the latest EQ EVs have.

The rear part also suggests lighting upgrades. We suspect that the liftgate of the van will get a thin LED strip bridging the taillights to copy the design of the latest EQ EVs. Other possible updates may include the infotainment system and multi-function steering wheel in the cockpit of the EV based on the interior shots of the same source.

The powertrain of the facelifted EQV will likely remain the same. If that’s the case, it would retain the same 90 kWh battery pack powering a single electronic motor that peaks at 201. The setup allows an electric range of up to 250 miles from a full charge, which can likewise be energized in fast-charging stations from 10% to 80% in just 45 minutes.

The facelifted Mercedes-Benz EQV will most probably make its debut in early 2023.
