Mercedes-AMG S63 Spied with Screaming Engine and Screeching Tires in Nurburgring

Giancarlo Perlas June 13, 2022

The Mercedes S-Class is not just a luxury car, it’s about making a statement. It’s equipped with top-of-the-line elements with cutting-edge amenities and luxurious features that will make your journey in one of these sedans feel like nothing else on earth. Now, make it an AMG and a plug-in, and you will surely get a bang for your buck for the extra oomph and bonus electric range.

Recently, a prototype of a Mercedes-AMG S63 was seen on the famous Nurburgring race track. We surely couldn’t help but be amazed because despite its screaming engine and screeching tires, it sure does a great job in corners.

The spy video from YouTube’s Carspotter Jeroen definitely gives us plenty of details about what to expect from the upcoming AMG S-Class. The fascia of the car shows the Mercedes performance brand’s signature grinning Panamericana grille flanked by squinting headlamps. The exposed bottom of the wraps on the front bumper also displays the huge air vents of the auto.

The door panels and roof elements are just the same as the vehicle’s standard Benz model. Going around though takes us to the chunkier rear bumper of the car with a diffuser in between the quadruple tailpipes.

The clip does not reveal anything about the interior of the AMG S63. However, it’s likely the same as its  Benz variant but with the exception of the Alcantara or Nappa leather seats, aluminum pedals, special floor mats, and other AMG-specific add-ons.

The AMG S63 hybrid here looks like it’s packing a lot of heat, which is estimated to be around 700 hp. If that’s not so mind-blowing yet, wait until you see in action the AMG S75e with as much as 800 hp.

There’s no word yet as to when this one will make its official debut, but it might be sometime before 2022 ends.
