Gorden Wagener Shows will.i.am’s Custom Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door

Will.i.am is one of the newest ambassadors of the Mercedes-Benz brand. He officially represented the group in the latter part of 2021 introducing its “first high-performance hybrid”, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance.

Recently, the company’s Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener gave us a sneak peek at the celebrity’s custom ride. It’s unlikely based on the 831 hp hybrid car the former lead of Black Eyed Peas is promoting, but it sure is a Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door.

Known for his futuristic style in music, the former lead of Black Eyed Peas happens to be the ideal person to promote the hybrid AMG GT. His classy taste in cars is also reflected in his own AMG GT 4-Door wrapped in shiny chrome wrap.

There was no mention about the specific trim of the rapper’s AMG GT 4-Door in Wagener and will.i.am’s posts and exchanges on Instagram, but it should be noted that since the AMG GT 63 S E Performance is not being delivered in the US presently, we might be looking at the non-PHEV series of the product.

Assuming that he went for the range-topping AMG GT 63 S, his car would be equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 630 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. All that number goes to Merc’s 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system and is distributed via a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The configuration propels the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-Door from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and its top speed can be raised up to 195 mph. This is the same model that made the fastest lap in Nurburgring on two occasions.
