Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe Stands Out More with the New Hofele Mod

Giancarlo Perlas July 30, 2021

Time and time again, German aftermarket tuning specialist Hofele Design never fails to impress with its works on vehicles bearing the three-pointed star mark. Recently, the company unveiled a new package for the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe that makes the luxury crossover stand out more.

What we like about the latest works of Hofele is that they don’t go way overboard in their body kits. Even the tuner’s subtle packages work miracles for the cars they are intended for. Take for instance this specific GLE.

All it did was change some of the auto’s visuals in the front grille, bumper lip, side intakes, side skirts, and quadruple exhaust pipes by introducing chrome highlights. Meanwhile, the diffuser has been lightened to match the white body color of the crossover while getting a chrome lining on top, and it’s been fitted with a new set of wheels featuring a turbine design with more chrome.

Moreover, the symbol of Merc on the front grille was replaced with the specialist’s “H” logo. Going around the back also reveals that the “AMG GLE 53” badge was replaced with “HGLE 53”, which happens to be the name of the body kit.

Getting inside will show an upholstery clad in brown leather with black piping on the seats. Carbon fiber inserts adorn the interior too.

Hofele did not touch the 3.0-liter turbo inline-six engine of the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe but it’s already good for 429 hp and 385 lb-ft of torque. All that power can take the crossover from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.
