Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series Up For Sale By Hemmings

Giancarlo Perlas June 6, 2021

The Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series may already be more than a decade old, but its appeal does not appear to age. Even now, it never fails to impress. Only 350 units of the car were made from 2008 to 2011, and 175 of them were shipped to the U.S. One of them is now up for sale by Hemmings in Miami, Florida.

The SL 65 Black Series comes in Steel Gray paint. Its exterior is also highlighted by its new front lip, rear diffuser, engine cover, and trunk lid spoiler all made from carbon fiber. In addition, it features dual AMG Performance exhaust ports, bi-xenon headlamps with Active Curve Illumination, silver-finish brake calipers, high-performance brakes, and side fenders. Meanwhile, the interior is fitted with black Alcantara, carbon fiber trims, and special stitching patterns on the seat covers.

The Black Series SL is powered by a hand-built 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 with aluminum block and heads. The power unit produces 661 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque that pushes the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 199 mph.

The Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series just had two owners since it rolled out from the three-pointed star brand’s factory. The vehicle only logged 11,200 miles on its clock, and it includes a clean title, two master remote keys, and an original window sticker.

The original SRP of the unit was $304,350 but its asking price in the current sale is $397,500.
