A Fleet of 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedans and Wagons Spied
Giancarlo Perlas February 8, 2021A fleet consisting of seven new Mercedes-Benz C-Class units was recently spied while the cars were undergoing testing. Both the new sedan (W206) and wagon (W206) variants of the range were caught on video.
Like the previous spy shots, the vehicles were only covered in partial camouflage. Only the front and rear areas were hidden during their testing. The minimal wraps suggest that the unveiling of the autos may be near. Supporting this theory is an article from Autobild Spain a couple of days ago that claimed the launch of the next-generation C-Class sedan will be on February 23 while its wagon model will follow later. Due to the current pandemic, the debut of the models will happen during a digital-only event.
Looking at the six sedans led by an S-Class on the video, the cars appear to have adopted the styling of Mercedes’ flagship car. The cleaner and smoother surfaces of the C-Class mirror that of its S-Class sibling, but the former seems to have a compact design that hints at smaller legroom compared to the latter.
Some elements found in the interior of the S-Class have been confirmed in earlier spy photos to be making their way to the new C-Class. Among them are the wide twin-instrument displays on the dashboard, large touchscreen under the central air conditioning vents, dedicated climate control settings, and multi-function steering wheel. Of course, even the new version of the MBUX infotainment system will most probably trickle down to the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
