Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series Can Be Ordered For 335,240 Euros

The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is now available to order. However, it comes with a price tag of 335,240 euros ($390,757 based on prevailing direct conversion rates from Google), which is nearly double the cost of a new Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro. The vehicle can be ordered with the optional magma beam paint finish as seen in the photo above.

As we have mentioned in our earlier posts about the AMG GT Black Series, the car is heavily based on the styling of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 and Mercedes-AMG GT4 race cars. Unlike the race track exclusive models though, the Black Series features an adjustable rear wing and front spoiler. The street-legal car is also “more sophisticated than its racing counterpart” in terms of design as pointed out by outgoing AMG CEO Tobias Moers.

The new Black Series of AMG is equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. That’s the same power unit found in the AMG GT Pro, which seats below the Black Series. However, the Black Series is capable of producing up to 730 hp while the Pro only has 577 hp. The huge difference is thanks to the flat-plane-crank layout of the Black Series compared to the standard cross-plane-crank configuration of the Pro’s engine.

Meanwhile, the peak torque of the AMG GT Black Series is at 800 Nm. Its power goes to a rear-wheel-drive system and distributed via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. All the said numbers take the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, and its top speed is electronically-limited to 325 km/h.

Mercedes-Benz USA is yet to announce the price of the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series in its dealerships when it arrives there in early 2021.
