Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Gets a Mercedes-AMG GT R Panamericana Grille

Giancarlo Perlas November 5, 2019

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter may not be as luxurious as the other vehicles of its maker, but given the right customization features, it can become something out of the ordinary. Recently, a Russian tuner mixed the features of an AMG sports car into the van.

DL.Auto.Design just unveiled its new customization plan for the Sprinter, which gave the vehicle a bit of a sporty personality. The tuner took inspiration from the Mercedes-AMG GT R for its work.

The Sprinter now features a chrome Panamericana grille and an aggressive bumper with blacked-out mesh similar to the AMG GT R. It also receives new side aprons, diffuser, and quadruple exhaust tips. Furthermore, it comes with matte-black sports wheels, and its suspension is slightly lowered.

Despite its looks, the upgrades in the Sprinter appear to be purely aesthetic though. There was no mention of any modifications within the engine of the auto. Therefore, its output remains within the 94 hp to 189 hp mark, depending on its trim level.

The DL.Auto.Design body kit is not only available for the camper-type Sprinter. Some of its accessories are compatible with the other variants of the passenger van too, but we can’t see any reason why you should waste it on the delivery or pickup configurations of the Sprinter.

The Russian tuner is no longer new to providing the Sprinter with an overhauled look. Last year, it gave the van the same kind of AMG treatment, which you can see in the video below. Although it was a bit watered down compared to the new AMG GT R-inspired mods it just unveiled.
