We all love to see a nice burnout and we have seen some Mercedes-AMG E63 S cars do that. The particular unit in the video did just that again, and in less than 30 seconds, it almost disappeared in its own cloud of smoke.
The subject of the video is a tuned AMG E63 S. In the car’s stock configuration, its 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine is capable of delivering 603 hp. However, this one was modified by RENNtech, which gives it an output of 810 hp.
The tuning package of RENNtech for the sedan is called the R800. The upgrade includes an ECU remap by RENNtech. Then it is equipped with Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system, ceramic-coated downpipes, and 200-cell sports cats.
The Mercedes was a participant in 2019 Bimmerworld’s Burnout Madness Competition. When it was the car’s turn to show off its power, the driver seemed to have forgotten to deactivate its traction control so there was a bit of hesitation at the very beginning. But with the limiter finally out of the way and the auto was at more than 100 mph, it was engulfed in a thick cloud of white smoke coming out from the tires. It took a whole 15 seconds before the driver released his foot from the gas pedal.
The Michelin tires of the AMG E63 S were ripped to shreds in the aftermath of the whole affair with its cords already coming out. It appeared that the rubber was even a Pilot Sport version so it was probably good for $400 each tire. So that’s $800 for both the damaged rear tires overall. However, it was all worth it because even the BMW fans were quite impressed with the display.
