Top 3 Awesome Features of the Mercedes-AMG A35 Sedan

Giancarlo Perlas March 30, 2019

The Mercedes-AMG A35 hatchback just made its global debut before the end of 2018. Now, the three-pointed star brand is following it up with its sedan version.

Basically, the Mercedes-AMG A35 Sedan benefits from all the elements found in its hatchback counterpart. What keeps it apart though is its larger body that translates to more space in its cabin.

1. Exterior

The same twin-bar front grille can be found in the AMG A35 Sedan. Then, it is highlighted by its smooth body surfaces, which is derived from Mercedes’ “Sensual Purity” design philosophy. The wheelbase of the car measures around 2,729 millimeters and it is fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels. It also distances itself from the standard Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan with its front lip spoiler, flics on the front apron air intakes and silver chrome accents.

2. Interior

The extra length of the car translates to a 944mm headroom and boot that can hold 420 liters of cargo. Like the AMG A35 hatchback, the sedan features a dual screen located in front of the driver and on top of the center console. Circular, turbine-inspired air vents adorn the interior too. Meanwhile, the multimedia system makes use of the MBUX software.

3. Engine

The new AMG A35 Sedan is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo inline-four engine. The unit produces 306 hp at 5,800 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 3,000-4,000 rpm. The power of the auto is distributed to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The setup of the car allows it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. On the other hand, its top speed is electronically-limited to 250 km/h.
