Partially Camouflaged Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 Spied

More photos of what appears to be another version of the new generation Mercedes-Benz CLA are surfacing online. This time, the high-performance variant, the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45, has been spotted by spy photographers.

The vehicle in the spy shots appears with a partial camouflage covering its fascia, side sills and rear bumper. However, several exposed elements and the bulges on the wraps give away its identity as an AMG car.

We can confirm that we are looking at the AMG CLA 45 through its Panamericana grille styling with closely knit vertical slats. The front bumper appears more aggressive and sportier too, thanks to its bigger air intakes and spoiler. Meanwhile, going around the rear shows a large rear diffuser and the bumper housing quadruple tailpipes.

Expect the new AMG CLA 45 to mirror the same level of power found in the Mercedes-AMG A 45. A 2.0-liter turbo inline-four engine will likely sit beneath its hood.

Two powertrains will most probably sprout from the AMG CLA 45, these are the AMG CLA 45 and the more potent AMG CLA 45 S. The first is said to get up to 387 hp and the second is going to produce up to 421 hp. A mild hybrid setup with Mercedes’ EQ Boost will possibly be partnered to the car, which will provide it a quicker acceleration.

We anticipate the same interior detailing found in the Mercedes-AMG A-Class Sedan in the CLA. With that, it will definitely be fitted with twin digital displays measuring seven inches each, turbine-inspired air vents and the latest MBUX multimedia system.
