G-Power Mercedes-AMG C63 S Takes Off From 0 to 62 MPH in 3.4 Seconds

Giancarlo Perlas October 26, 2018

The Mercedes-AMG C63 S is the most potent offering of the C-Class range. Its 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine produces 503 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. That’s good for an acceleration of 0-62 mph in just 3.9 seconds. However, those who are looking to squeeze more power out of it can turn to the latest tuning package released by G-Power.

The G-Power package increases the output of the C63 S engine to a total of 789 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque. That’s 286 hp and 221 lb-ft more than the fresh-from-the-factory figures of the vehicle. The power boost propels the car from 0-62 mph in a mere 3.4 seconds.

The upgrades are made possible by the installation of the G-Power Performance Software V4 to the C-Class’ engine software. Mechanical tweaks are also introduced, including the addition of CNC-machined compressor and turbine wheels, optimization of the compressor housing and enlargement of the intake area.

These are complemented by lighter and more rigid forged pistons plus optimized manifold and high-performance fuel pump for the engine from Hurricane RR. Moreover, it features a new intake system with high-flow air filter and stainless-steel downpipes. The seven-speed automatic transmission of the vehicle gets reinforcements too.

The new tuning kit of G-Power also comes with cosmetic enhancements to the AMG C63 S. The tuner provides a cool-looking urban camo wrap and bigger boot lid spoiler to the auto. Lastly, these are topped off by 20-inch Hurricane RR forged, double-spoke, aluminum wheels wrapped in 255/30 ZR20 and 285/30 ZR20 high-performance tires.
