Mercedes-Maybach Pullman Limousine Gets Updates

Giancarlo Perlas March 18, 2018

The Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is getting updates. Daimler announced that the limousine will have enhancements in its standard visuals, controls and engine.

Of course, there is no limit to the upgrades that buyers can put into the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman as long as they have a fat bank account for it. They could even transform it into its armored version called the Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman Guard. However, putting those things aside, we will only touch the basic features that you can get from the over 500,000 euro starting price tag of the Pullman limo.

Design

According to the press release of Mercedes, the new model of the Pullman has a new radiator grille design with finer vertical struts. The automaker said that it was inspired by a pinstriped suit similar to the styling we saw in the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6. It is complemented by Maybach’s signature 10-hole-styled wheels measuring 20 inches.

The company also announced the addition of an optional two-tone paint finish like the one offered in the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class. In addition, the new exclusive colors for the car’s interior surfaces include magma grey, mahogany brown and silk beige/deep sea blue.

Performance

The 6.0-liter biturbo V12 engine of the Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman got a boost too. The rated output of the limo is now at 630 hp with 1,000 Nm of torque. For its 6.5-meter length, the Pullman is incredibly fast as it can go from zero to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds.

The combined city and highway fuel consumption of the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is 14.6 liters per 100 km. The combined CO2 emissions of the vehicle is 300 g/km.

Tech

The VIP passengers of the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman can now enjoy extra level of comfort as they sit in the luxurious lounge of the car with the improved controls of its “2 cabin sound” system that manages their personalized music. Mercedes added a front view camera as well that would allow passengers to monitor the traffic conditions in front even when the partition screen of the limo is closed.
