Giancarlo Perlas September 14, 2017

The 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show gives us a glimpse of what the near future holds for the Mercedes-Benz group. With the introduction of the concept vehicles such as the Mercedes-Benz EQ A, Mercedes-AMG Project One, and the smart vision EQ fortwo, the three-pointed star marque looks to shine brighter in the coming years.

During the “Meet the Experts” segment of the event, four key personalities linked with Mercedes presented what their respective divisions will have in store for customers soon.

Dr. Annette Winkler

The head of smart cars said they are en route to electrifying their brand in line with the “Daimler Mobility Vision 2030+”. The introduction of the smart vision EQ fortwo gives a preview of how they will revolutionize carsharing through its communicative and zero emission features.

Tobias Moers

The head of Mercedes-AMG GmbH related the Project One as the embodiment of the auto show’s motto, “Future Now”, because it is defined as the “Future of Driving Performance”. He also reminded the audience of the 50th anniversary of their performance sports car brand.

Wilko Stark

The Vice President of Daimler and head of Mercedes-Benz Cars Strategy & Head of CASE highlighted the Connectivity, Autonomous, Shared & Services and Electric elements which comprise Daimler AG’s corporate strategy. They aim to shape up intuitive mobility for their customers through their new intelligent solutions.

Dr. Jens Thiemer

The Vice President of Marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars discussed the “me Convention”. This provides an avenue for people to talk about how they want to work, communicate, travel, consume and live going forward. The dialogue will let Mercedes tap to the “mobility services” market for the society of the future.
