Giancarlo Perlas September 13, 2017

Most motorists and automobile enthusiasts may agree on one point that as far as look is concerned, the Mercedes family of cars do not maintain the same aesthetic appeal in all its models. The all new Mercedes-AMG S65 Cabriolet and Coupe both of which have just been revealed by Dealer Reviews speak the same story concerning aesthetics.

The new car engine got smaller than its processor? Yes, that is what the expert says. But go to hell with such measurement, as the new cars even after this petty change kicks out with the fiery 603 bhp. It offers more torque than a driver ever requires at any speed. Merc’s all new nine-speed gearbox further ads to the power of the car and helps total control behind the wheel.

As Top Gear revealed to us, the new AMG engine which is the main source of the power for this beastly four-wheeler is actually hand-built by a single technician. That really sounds like quite a feat, like? Wait, there are more to reveal. The new engine comes with a pair of turbochargers and to add more juice to this there is also an aluminium crankcase and a crankshaft made up of forged steel. Finally, it is equipped to work with seven-speed automatic gearbox that can shift between several modes.  To offer you the exotic aspect of the single-handmade engine the engine is given a carbon fibre cover with a miniature autograph of the maker.

For a 2.1-tonne beast like S65 that comes with such extraordinary handcrafted, engine a whizzing acceleration should be very much anticipated and Mercedes fulfilled that. As per the test drive figure revealed in various reviews, the acceleration is really awesome, with 0-62 mph speed is taking only 4.1 seconds while reaching the optimum at a decent 155 mph. The ultimate top speed that can be achieved by this car though is only 186 mph.

The engine is the biggest asset of the new Mercedes cars, though there is an array of sophisticated twists in the design and material of these two models. At visual level both looks aesthetically very much belonging to the Mercedes. There are some luxury additions that equally requires attention.

For instance, there is a new floating front apron on the front side coupled up with a chin spoiler. The side skirts are redesigned allowing a better look. Apart from there is also a rear apron for inserting diffuser. Both the models come with twin tailpipes to help the loud exhaust system of the AMG beast inside. To add final touch to the sophistication there are two OLED tail lights to grace the car from behind.

What do you want in a custom engine geared luxury car? Whatever be your expectations, the powerful and exceptionally elegant Mercedes-AMG S65 models are equipped to the brim with almost all that we silently grope for. A new and custom built engine, new transmission, sophisticated all-wheel drive with exceptional torque and great exterior coupled up with a truly luxury interior with several new additions, are not they enough to declare it a luxury car ahead of its time?

To add more fun to the motorists and luxury geeks who will fall in love with this Mercedes car, it also comes with a smart app allowing recording of numerous data about the vehicle and its real time performance remotely. The modern cockpit system of the car shows real time car data while allowing transmission to the remote device via the web connected app. The insights processed through these data the drivers further can bring more precision and try to keep those lapse times at bay.
