Spy shots of a new Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet are already going around online. From the looks of it, the new model will still sit under the current generation of the S-Class. However, it does present a refreshed look that fans of the three-pointed star brand’s flagship range will definitely look forward to.

Here are the things we discovered so far about the upcoming Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet gathered from several sources:

1. Styling

The areas wrapped in zebra camouflage indicate where the changes in the car’s exterior will take place. Therefore, expect it to have redesigned bumpers and grille. The exposed taillights also seem to differ with the ones that the present AMG S63 Cabriolet has. The headlights will likely receive an update too.

So far, it is hard to make out the interior of the car because of its distance from the person taking the photos. But the improvements will probably be minor anyway, except some decent software upgrades in the infotainment system and driving assistance package of the auto.

2. Power Unit

The spied Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet will possibly benefit from the new 4.0-liter V8 engine of Mercedes. It should be noted that the current model of the convertible carries a 5.5-liter biturbo V8 unit. The output of the new car’s engine might be tuned to match or even slightly surpass the 577 hp mark of its existing version.

3. Arrival

The Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet in the spy shots will come out bearing a 2019 model year. It might be launched in showrooms in 2018 or late this year.
