Freshly unveiled from Stuttgart is the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe. As mentioned earlier, it offers a more stylish design compared to its saloon counterpart and its predecessor.

After giving everyone an overview of its key features, here is a closer look at the different engine options available for the car.

1. Mercedes-Benz E 200 Coupe

The E 200 is equipped with the petrol-fed 2.0-liter inline-four engine of Mercedes. The output of the unit is at 184 hp with 300 Nm of torque. The power allows the car to sprint from zero to 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds. The top speed of the auto is 240 km/h.

2. Mercedes-Benz E 220 d Coupe

The E 220 d is the most fuel-efficient variant of the E-Class Coupe range. It has an efficiency class of “A+” thanks to its combined NEDC fuel consumption of 4.0 l/100km, and it has combined CO2 emissions of 106 g/km. The auto carries the diesel-fed 2.5-liter inline-four engine of the three-pointed star brand with 194 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The car can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds, and it has a top speed of 242 km/h.

3. Mercedes-Benz E 300 Coupe

The E 300 gets the petrol-fueled 2.0-liter inline-four engine of Mercedes. Its output is 245 hp with 370 Nm of torque. The car can go from zero to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. The maximum speed of the vehicle is electronically-capped at 250 km/h.

4. Mercedes-Benz E 400 4MATIC Coupe

The E 400 4MATIC bears a petrol-powered 3.0-liter V6 engine. Compared to the models featured here, it is the most powerful so far with 333 hp and 480 Nm of torque. The numbers propel the car from zero to 100 km/h in only 5.3 seconds, and it has an electronically-limited max speed of 250 km/h.

Reminders

It should be noted that the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe comes with the 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission as a standard equipment. Then, it is not yet clear which models will actually make it in the UK and US, but the likely candidates are the E 300 and the E 400 4MATIC variants. Lastly, expect details of the Mercedes-AMG versions of the E-Class Coupe to come out next year.
