Introducing the Brabus 850 6.0 cabriolet based on the Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet platform.

Brabus unveiled its work on the Mercedes-AMG S-Class Cabriolet. The package of the famous Mercedes tuner includes a boost in the engine of the convertible and some cosmetic changes on the exterior of the car. Brabus calls it the “Brabus 850 6.0” and it is based on the S63 model of the S-Class Cabrio.

Brabus tinkered the biturbo V8 engine of the S-Class cabrio to crank up its displacement from 5.5 liters to 6.0 liters and give it a peak output of up to 850 hp. Then the tuner raised its torque to 1,069 lb-ft. These numbers certainly put even the Mercedes-AMG S65 Cabriolet to shame.

The resulting acceleration of the car from zero to 62 mph is now 3.5 seconds. Moreover, its top speed can reach up to 217 mph. It should be noted that the maximum speed of the Brabus 850 cabriolet is still electronically-limited in order to protect its tires.

Customers can opt to change the appearance of the Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet with the Brabus 850 6.0 package. Among the exterior upgrades are carbon fiber bumpers, front lip spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser, and boot lid spoiler. Included also are the quad exhaust pipes. Lastly, the tuner offers new set of new forged alloy wheels measuring 21 inches and 22 inches.

The performance and aero kit given by Brabus to the S63 Cabrio is the same with the one used in the Brabus 850 Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe.
