The Hofele-Design Mercedes-Benz G-Class, rechristened as the G-Cross.

Hofele-Design recently revealed the Mercedes-Benz G-Class it customized. The upgrades in the iconic SUV of the three-pointed star marque include a decent number of cosmetic changes and significant engine power boost.

According to GT Spirit, the mentioned G-Class will be unveiled in the flesh at the Geneva Motor Show 2016. The specialist rechristened its tuned Mercedes-Benz G-Class as the G-Cross.

What Hofele-Design did was it added a few visuals to the G 350 diesel variant of the range like a new grill, air intakes, darkened LED DRL, roof LED lights similar to the G 63 6×6, wider fenders, restyled stainless steel tailpipes, and five spoke 22-inch Reverso wheels.

Under the hood of the G 350 d lies an engine capable of giving out up to 245 hp and 600 Nm of torque. But with the G-Cross, the output is raised to 290 hp and 700 Nm of torque.

There was no mention yet of the tuned SUV’s sprint from zero to 100 km/h, and if there were changes to its maximum speed. More details about it will come eventually.

For its driving performance, the G-Cross offers an optional suspension kit to raise its base by 77 mm. It also has an Active Sound System that will let the owner of the SUV replicate the sound coming out from the massive engine of the Mercedes G 63 AMG.
