Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe Spotted Amid Heavy Snow
Peter Parcon January 21, 2016A prototype of the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe was spotted recently prior its official launch before the end of the year, as shown on a report from worldcarfans.com.
While the near-production prototype was spied in Germany with some camouflage, its headlights were not covered at all. The headlights are similar to a standard GLC. The front part of the luxury crossover coupe appeared to remain unchanged. On the other hand, the rear portion was enhanced as the slope of the roofline was increase to give it a similar appearance of a coupe, which is similar to the GLE Coupe.
Even as this model may have better proportions than the GLE Coupe, it is necessary to take into account that the headroom in the rear and trunk capacity may be reduced with the crossover coupe. The BMW X3 crossover also experience the same thing after it became a coupe with the X4 label.
The GLC 43 Coupe prototype comes with a 3.0-liter bi-turbo V6 engine, which may offer 362 HP of power along with 384 lb-ft of torque. Even as media outlets in Germany indicate that its power output will be increased to 395 HP, this remains uncertain for the moment.
The GLC Coupe production model is expected to be unveiled by the company in the middle of the year before it will become available in the market by September. Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe will enter the market on the first day the line will be offered and will remain until the 2017 introduction of the GLC 63 Coupe with its 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine.
