The Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 highlights its range with a very powerful engine and breathtaking styling. The said features are matched with low fuel consumption, making the car something to really look forward to when it rolls out in dealerships this coming year.

Here are the key features of the Mercedes SLC 43, based on MBUSA:

Engine

The Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 possesses a 3.0-liter biturbo V6 engine with 362 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque. The power is distributed through a 9-GTRONIC sport transmission. The numbers enable the car to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds with an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph.

Suspension

There are two options in the suspension of the SLC 43 for its front and rear axles. The first is the standard and the other comes with the optional AMG RIDE CONTROL. The two choices offer increased lateral acceleration and reduced roll. The latter has a sport suspension with adjustable damping.

DYNAMIC SELECT

The different riding modes of the SLC 43 offered by its DYNAMIC SELECT controls are Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual.

In a nutshell, the Eco mode provides maximum efficiency. Comfort mode, as its name implies, puts emphasis on providing a more relaxing experience for the car’s occupants, and it is combined with a fuel-efficient driving. Sport allows enhanced agility thanks to a higher throttle response, quicker shift times, better downshifts, and more intense gearshifts. Sport+ brings the previously mentioned elements further to maximize the power of the auto. Lastly, Individual lets the driver personalize the steering, suspension, air conditioning and ECO the SLC 43 based on his or her personal preferences.

Electronic Stability Program

The ESP button operates in three ways to provide different control strategies, which work harmoniously with the DYNAMIC SELECT function of the sports car.

Sound Controls

The sound of the SLC 43 can also be controlled by the driver. The sport exhaust system of the vehicle offers a silent driving option during Eco and Comfort modes while the Sport and Sport+ modes unleash the signature sound of the AMG engine.

Exterior

Outside, the SLC 43 receives major modifications compared to its standard model. It’s sporty features are accentuated by a more aggressive and muscular look. It gets new high-gloss black air deflector in front, large air intakes with silver chrome fins and black flicks. Eighteen-inch AMG multi-spoke light alloy wheels finished in high-gloss black are fitted to the car. Moreover, it gets black mirror caps plus AMG rear lid spoiler, chrome tailpipes, and silver chrome diffuser.

There are two roofing designs to choose from as well. The first is the vario roof with large glass element. The second is the panoramic roof with MAGIC SKY CONTROL.
