Coming soon: The Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe.

Mercedes-Benz USA recently revealed its new plan regarding its AMG cars. According to USA Today, company CEO Steve Cannon told journalists at the Quail Motorsports Gathering held last weekend that they are pushing for a change in their approach when it comes to selling models bearing the badge of its performance division.

Cannon said that the company currently encourages its dealerships to showcase the AMG units apart from the standard Mercedes models. He pointed out that the high performance cars should be placed on a separate area in their showrooms.

The Mercedes USA boss also mentioned that their sales people will receive more training in order for them to be more familiar with the benefits of AMG units to customers.

Cannon claimed that their dealers are so excited with the new setup. He stated that they should be because dealers who are offering AMG models are usually the brand’s best performers.

Mercedes-Benz USA is definitely at the right track on this one. Since the AMG models are more pricey and they represent a step up from the standard models, dealerships should put more emphasis to them by placing them apart from the regular Mercedes-Benz cars.

Presently, the full Mercedes-AMG badge is highlighted by the Mercedes-AMG GT and the Mercedes-AMG GT S, the successor of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT. A new car that will join its lineup, which is receiving a lot of hype right now, is the Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe and its more powerful S-variant.
