Mercedes-Benz continues to enjoy massive success in the market, as the company posted its strongest monthly sales performance this past March with a total of 183,467 vehicles delivered to customers within the month.

The total for the first three months of 2015 stands at 429,602 units, which is 14.8 percent better than the same quarter last year.

With the C-Class sedan and estate models enjoying great success during the quarter, and the SUV and compact car segments also posting superb gains in terms of sales, it’s easy to see how Mercedes-Benz posted the record figures. C-Class sedan and estate sales are up 57.8 percent, while SUVs are up 31.9 percent and compact car sales are up 25.3 percent. Even the S-Class sedan saw a 7.1 percent gain in quarterly sales.

Europe sales grew 16.3 percent with a total of 89,041 units, with Germany sales accounting for 27,118 of those. Quarterly sales in Germany rose 7.3 percent over the same period last year, for a total of 60,115 vehicles.

Sales also rose in the NAFTA region, as Mercedes-Benz delivered a record 34,370 vehicles last month, representing a 9.1 percent increase. US sales also grew to 29,921 units for a 9.2 percent growth. In terms of quarterly sales, US figures rose by 7.6 percent to reach a three-month total of 78,156 units.

Asia-Pacific region sales grew 18 percent, with 54,206 units total delivered to customers in the region. In the key market of China, 30,124 vehicles were delivered last month – a 20.8% growth. China sales are up 16.6 percent in quarterly sales, with the company having sold 78,183 vehicles since 2015 started.

Smart car sales went up 25.4 percent over the month, with 11,984 units delivered. Quarterly sales are also up, with 28,744 units sold so far in the year for a 22.7 percent gain. It’s good to see smart’s sales picking up, largely influenced by new models like the recently launched two-door city coupe.
