Silver Chrome And Carbon Packages Unveiled For Mercedes-Benz AMG GT

Following the release of the Night Package for the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT, a pair of packages was unveiled for the latest supercar offering of the German luxury vehicle manufacturer, according to a report from gtspirit.com. The two new packages for the AMG GT are the Silver Chrome and Carbon packages.
The Silver Chrome and Carbon packages provide the AMG GT with a modified front splitter, redesigned rear diffuser, new wing mirrors and new fender fins. The components of the Silver Chrome package are made of chrome. On the other hand, the Carbon Package features the same components made of carbon fiber.
The Silver Chrome and Carbon packages are far more expensive compared to the Night Package for the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT. The Night Package has a price tag of around $1,200. On the other hand, the Silver Chrome and Carbon packages cost $5,924 and $1,424, respectively.
Both the Silver Chrome and Carbon Packages are compatible with the two variants of the AMG GT.
The AMG GT is the second sports car developed completely by Mercedes-AMG since the SLS AMG was the first one developed by Mercedes- AMG. The supercar features a front mid-engine layout and the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine of AMG. The newly-developed engine allows the AMG GT to produce 462 HP of power for the GT variant while the GTS variant has a total power output of 503 HP. The new AMG engine complies with the Euro 6 emission standard, which includes the maximum particulate emissions level that will be implemented by 2016.
The GTS variant is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h within 3.8 seconds and has a maximum speed of 310 km/h. The V8 engine is also considered innovative since it uses dry sump lubrication and features integrated turbochargers. The transmission of the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is a modified seven-speed dual clutch unit.
